Hello all,
I’m attempting to have my drone take off in land but it seems barely capable of getting off the ground, with one propeller completely failing to get off the ground. The actuator controls are erratically all over the place for each motor. Motor 2 seems the most consistent at 100% output, but is unusual because it should only need around 60% output to lift the drone.
Obviously, the simulator’s outputs for the motor control signals are a lot more consistent. I’ve attached pictures of both to show the comparison. I’ve also attached a link to the flight review for a real life test.
I have a couple of questions that I would like to be answered.
- Does this at all indicate that the drone is overweight? I assume that if a drone is overweight, that it could still take off, but struggle to maintain altitude and use a higher percentage of motor output.
- Does this indicate faulty motors or a problem with the software or other sensors? I’m guessing the control signals come directly from the flight controller so I’d assume it’d be more a flight controller issue, but I am unsure.
- Does anything immediately look weird in the flight review log to those with plenty of experience?
