Can't find RC_INPUT_PROTO in "Parameters"

Hello,

Sorry for the potential noob question, I am quite new to PX4 and QGC. I have runned PX4 on a first quadcopter and it was straight forward.

I am now building a second copter runnning PX4, and unfortunately I am struggling with the RC configuration

I would like to set the correct RC protocol but I can’t find RC_INPUT_PROTO in “Parameters”
Do you have any idea?

The Flight controller is a Cube Pilot Orange + on a mini carrier board
The Airframe is Octo coax

Thanks in advance,

What are you using for an RC radio and receiver?

I actually had the same issue. Using Cube Orange FD with PX4 and QgroundControl, I can’t find the parameter to change the RCIN protocol. The various suggested params are… simply not there.

I didn’t follow up on it really, as I have many other receivers and normally use the Ardupilot firmware with Mission Planner. This was a FrSky R-XSR receiver using ACCST with green light for binding but no RCinputs in QGC

But I’d still like to know where to change the RCIN setttings in PX4/QGC, even though it seems to autodetect without issue most of the time.

I don’t know much about your setup, but you should be able to set this up pretty easily following the RC Setup Guide

Also here’s the PARAM you are looking for COM_RC_IN_MODE

I’m a little perplexed here. The COM_RC_IN_MODE is just for setting RC only, Joystick only, RC or Joystick etc.

I rigged up the setup that I had an issue with again. It’s an R-XSR with ACCST firmware and I get no RC input even with a green light and RSSI signal confirmed. If I flash the R-XSR with ACCESS firmware and bind, then everything is fine.

Is there no setting for CubeOrange PX4 to manually set the RC protocol?

(Sorry to hijack the poster question but it’s the same issue)
