I need two RC antennas for a large FW setup, that are about 3m apart.
Using one receiver with such long antenna extensions does not seem like a smart idea to me.
So my question is: Does there exist a solution to use two receivers that is compatible with Pixhawk? Or are there some receivers that can be coupled together?
Unfortunately, the size matters in this case, as I had to painfully learn.
With ELRS/JETI and Frsky you can connect more then one RX to have a redundancy so you can mount 2/3 wherever you want.
I would like to use ELRS if possible.
Is it a specific product that you are refering to? Or just plug in multiple RCs into the flight controller somehow?
From what I know, with ELRS you can have additional receivers connected to the TX and set custom channels for each output. With that you can extend number of channels availible for control or duplicate them. Unfortunately, it depends on PX4 software to recognize additional reciver as you should connect both receivers to the autopilot - couldn’t find any information about it.
With FrSky, the receivers support redundancy with its own hardware. You need to connect RX2 → RX1 → PX4 with receivers that support it. This means that PX4 see only one stream of data from RX, but from which one - it’s up to the FrSky receivers.
