QGC Camera Trigger Issue with SIYI A8 Mini and PX4 1.17

Hi,

I am using the SIYI A8 Mini camera with a SIYI MK32 Air Unit and MK32 transmitter.

System details:

  • PX4 Firmware: v1.17

  • QGroundControl: v4.4.3

  • Camera: SIYI A8 Mini

  • Datalink: SIYI MK32

Current status:

  • Video stream is working correctly in both SIYI FPV and QGroundControl.

  • I can fully control the gimbal from the SIYI FPV application.

  • I can successfully start/stop video recording and capture photos from the SIYI FPV application.

  • MAVLink communication between PX4 and QGC appears to be working.

Issue:
When using QGroundControl, the camera video feed is displayed correctly, but the camera controls in QGC do not work. Pressing the red shutter/record button in QGC does not trigger photo capture or video recording on the A8 Mini.

Questions:

  1. Does QGroundControl 4.4.3 support photo and video triggering for the SIYI A8 Mini through PX4?

  2. Are there any specific PX4 parameters, MAVLink camera settings, or SIYI configurations required for QGC camera control?

  3. Has anyone successfully used the QGC camera capture buttons with a SIYI A8 Mini on PX4 1.17?

Since photo and video triggering work correctly in the SIYI FPV application, I suspect the issue may be related to MAVLink camera integration between the SIYI system, PX4, and QGroundControl.

Any guidance would be appreciated.
