@MaEtUgR This is an almost complete and correct summary of the history. Yes, we …agreed single space for given reasons, and then this was undone by the "align comments 2 spaces after the longest field/constant in a block". The main argument for the align-by-block, is that without the whitespace I personally find the single-space version **unusable** when looking at source, and that is often where developers see the topics. In future I hope the docs would be the first port of call - once we get further with this I hope to roll out the updated docs parser, which will properly render the [comments like this](https://github.com/PX4/PX4-Autopilot/pull/24977#issuecomment-2943264626). So the question becomes "is it important that users can read the topics in source", and if so, is that "more important than all the reasons why alignment is annoying"? Perhaps you and @sfuhrer and @dagar can agree that, and if not take it to the dev call and let me know the result? We can put this on hold until you do.
