New to building drones

hey guys!!

I’m brand new to building drones.i got into doing this cause I was tired of watching my friend who loves drone keep flying his into a fence over and over. watching him pick up parts and try again….I know there is so much more to this so I told him in January we’re gonna build something sweet we’re proud of and then fly that into a fence… wait no not that.

Anyway, here is my parts list I’m having trouble with the pixhawk 6v mini and the pm07 power module I’m trying to find the right holes and I’m afraid to drill into my frame.

Please let me know if I’m doing this right. I just want to give him an opportunity to really see what drones can be.

Thank you I hope you guys can help

Hi there!
The PM07 and Pixhawk 6c mini do stand out to me, as they are not ideal to be used on a fpv/racing style drone. What are the reasons for picking those two components?

Thanks for responding I had a TabS lucid 4n1 but I was afraid it wasn’t sustainable.. Honestly if I can get this thing in the air I’ll be pumped.

what would you recommend instead of pm07 and pixhawk?

Sorry, I was not trying to discourage the use of the Pixhawk 6c and PM07 - after all I’ve had great experiences with both of them.

What I meant is that, especially on smaller drones, its much easier to mount FC/ESCs like the one you had, with mounting holes 30x30 or simmilar.

If you are building a “prototype” drone, or a bit of a larger drone, those two components are just fine.

And, if you just want to get something flying, they will work just fine.

what do you do if all your parts don’t line up with the holes on the frame

I’m using a tarot 650 I’m trying to building something decent sized.
