mRo Pixhawk 2.1 LEDs not working with PX4

I have some mRo Pixhawk 2.1 controllers running PX4 v1.11.3. The LEDs do not work with this combination. I spoke to mRo and they know this is a problem, but said it was up to the developers to solve it.
BTW, I have used the mRo Pixhawk 2.1 with ArduPilot and there’s no problem with the LEDs.
Can anyone comment on this?

Correction to this post:

The LED I am referring to is the one on the GPS unit. It signals whether there is GPS lock or not.
