Hi everyone, we integrated holybro micro m10 gps with ist8310 to cube orange, for which it showed compass inconsistency, which can be reset by changing the rotation parameters of mag.
But again during rebooting, the same issue arises again, for that we need to again change the rotation parameters of mag.
I think this issue arises for the controllers which don’t define the IST8310 as default external compass like that in px4 fmu-v6c.
I tested it with my custom hardware, by omitting the ist8310 as external compass in the init/rc.board_sensors files, the firmware showed same compass inconsistency error as shown in the cubeorange.
When including the ist8310 as default external compass in the init/rc.board_sensors file the compass works normally.
P.S: We ensured the forward markings of both the gps and FC align in the same direction.
