Getting GPS location from a telemetry radio while it is connected to QGroundControl

Is there a way to use MAVROS/MAVSDK, or something else that can pull the GPS location off of a telemetry radio that is connected to QGroundControl? Is that possible if the radio is in communication with QGroundControl. (And if it is - can that information be sent via ROS?)

Can you give some context and explain what you’re trying to do?

I want to communicate the GPS location of my drone to a robot and I also want to stream that GPS location into a database (have not decided what database format yet - trying to tackle getting the information first).

Aha, you might not necessarily want the GPS values exactly but PX4’s position estimate.

You can get it using MAVROS or MAVSDK. For MAVSDK it is:

I noticed that when I would try to run mavros at the same time as QGroundControl I would see the following. Does this mean I need to have a separate radio if I want to run QGroundControl at the same time?

However when I would shutdown QGroundControl, it took about 10 seconds or so before it was able to connect (at least a little)

Or does this mean I may have some other underlying issues? I currently do not have any problem using QGround control. I am able to create and do missions. It does take a good 20 seconds or to load all the parameters when it first connects, but other than that QGround control seems pretty responsive.
