Did I buy the right FC

Hello Forum,

Im a bit new into drones sorry excuse me for the rookie question. But I bought a mRo Pixhawk 2.4.6 so I can make my DIY drone. But I see there are so many different pixhawks, version types is PX4 standing for Pixhawk 4?
And im curious if I did not bought a very old FC so incase I need support I cant get it anymore. Anyhow I assume the FC I bought is a a good one?
