Return Directly to Launch Point

When I plan a mission the last command in the list is RTL. Instead of returning directly, the craft retraces the mission flight path. I know I’ve seen a reference to this in the documentation but can’t seem to find it now. Does anyone know which setting to change to get the copter to return directly?
