The maintainers meeting is a meeting for the developer team to coordinate on pressing issues and to plan the development of the PX4 Autopilot project, the community is welcome to join and listen, but won’t be able to speak unless specific access is granted ahead of time.

PR.1: uORB message count limit

Overflowing number of uORB topics has been a problem for some users.

  • Are there any reason why we should not increase the topics limit?
  • Are there ways to reduce the number of topics getting built? (maybe unnecessary ones are getting included)

PR.2: Removing test commands from FMUv5 default build

  • Will be helpful for reducing flash overflow issues
  • Backport to 1.14 is needed

From Meeting: let’s check with Julian if we can keep the SD_BENCH test since there’s a few users that depend on it. additionally:

There’s a growing feature disparity between FMU versions cause by flash constrains and no standardization into what we should be disabling, perhaps we should look into this problem and try avoid further gaps between FMU targets

Question regarding Pixhawk 6C

It’s reported to have 8 dshot on Ardupilot vs 6 on PX4.

We are verifying the source of the info on the board config, but we suspect it’s a copy/paste error coming from the FMUv6X board config.

Release Discussion

There are still two remaining issues that are being looked at this week.

  • Let’s make sure we call out any upgrade actions needed to users in a more prominent way
  • Let’s make sure we call out the New Platform Swan K1, it’s a good demo of the new actuator feature
