Possible to use a custom airframe for HITL simulation with X-Plane?

Ok, I’ve reduced all the graphics (even though I’m on a Nvidia 1070) and now it runs at around 70 Hz, so that’s usable.

I just tried to establish HITL on the following System:

  • Windows 10 and X-Plane 11
  • CUAV/PX4 Hilstar
  • QGroundControl station

The reached data rate is around 70 Hz, the GPS position and the sensor values work smoth.

When activating “Mission” Mode via QGroundControl station, there was no visible steering so that the aircraft turned towards the mission profile. This feels as if there is no incoming data towards X-Plane 11.

Is HITL with X-Plane 11 supported by PX4 at the moment?

I assume you are using an old version of QGC because support for X-Plane was dropped in the latest release (4.0)?

When I was testing this last it worked with X-Plane 11.
