Companion computer over USB

Are there any reasons not to use direct USB connection between the companion computer and the flight controller? Documentation advises to use TELEM2 for this purpose, but is there something I need to consider before using USB apart from remove arming check for USB connection?

@j_p It is the wrong connector to use in flight. It is not safe to fly while relying on a micro USB

Do you mean USB as communication media, or micro USB as a connector? If the latter - I plan to use JST-GH based USB port on Holybro Pixhawk.
