Both Camera and Pusher Motor of quadplane use AUX 5, new mixers

Hi all,

We are using a Pixhawk Cube 2.0 on a VTOL, the airframe we have chosen from PX4 is “Sparkle Tech Ranger VTOL”.

The four QC motors are on outputs MAIN 1/2/3/4 and the ailerons, elevator and rudder on outputs AUX 1/2/3/4 and the pusher motor on AUX 5. Here comes the problem – we need a camera control, but PX4 takes AUX 5 and 6 for that, so we lose the output for the pusher motor and it seems all other AUX outputs do not work also, once the camera is activated.

There was a discussion about that here: Camera Trigger

Now my “proposed solution” is to cut the “AUX 5” mixer from the “Sparkle Tech Ranger VTOL” xyz_VTOL.aux.mix and paste it as “MAIN 5” in xyz_VTOL.main.mix as MAIN 5, then to save the two new mixers on the micro SD card in a folder etc\mixers.

Do you think this is correct?

Where can I find the original xyz_vtol.main.mix and xyz_vtol.aux.mix for the VTOL airframe “Sparkle Tech Ranger VTOL”, what are the exact file names?

Are the AUX 1/2/3/4 outputs still going to work without any conflicts, because of the use of AUX 5/6 for the camera control?

Any help is highly appreciated!
