Any reference for using IST8310 compass sensor?

I am designing a GPS compass module myself from PCB layout for better reception etc.
I just found that normally used HMC5983 is going to be obsolete and no longer available for future design.
So I think IST8310 is the only(?) available option for compass sensor at this time and need for any references from you guys.
Has anyone have experience with this sensor for multicopter?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I also noticed Bosch sensortec is making many compass sensors such as BMM150 (only magnetic)
or BMC156, BMC056, BMC150 and BMC050 for 6 axis solutions(magnetic&accelerometer)
Actually for these 6 axis sensor, I don’t know exactly which is good or not.
I’m bit confused now…
