Stick commands not arming or dis-arming

For some reason I can’t get the stick commands (right stick down to the right to arm - down to the left to disarm) to work on a new build.

I thought there might be a problem with the PWM signal generated by my transmitter - but I checked it in the mavlink console - and it looks good.

Just to be sure, I’ve tried a different transmitter and receiver - still no luck.

Can someone please suggest how I might trouble shoot this?

Is the param MAN_ARM_GESTURE set?

Indeed, MAN_ARM_GESTURE was set to “disabled.” Unfortunately, I tried to set it to “enabled” and it immediately reverts back to “disabled.”

I asked Microsoft Co-Pilot for suggestions on why this might be - and got these suggestions:

I’ve checked all of these - and they all seem OK.

So as a last resort, I did a full parameter reset to defaults - and repeated the full configuration. That resolved the problem.

I sure would be curious to know what was preventing setting MAN_ARM_GESTURE to “enabled.”
