Qualcomm Snapdragon Pro Issues with ESC Interface

I’m using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Pro and have used the following page for reference on the hardware setup:

I have done extensive research on the Snapdragon and know that its output signal to the ESCs is in the form of a UART serial communication protocol. This cannot be interpreted by most ESCs (no ESC except for the one from Qualcomm as far as I can tell).

However, in the hardware setup example, it seems that the Snapdragon is directly connected to the hobbywing 4-in-1 ESC. I have tried this setup and cannot get the motors to function with output from the Snapdragon.

Is there a special firmware available to make the ESC compatible or is there a flight controller obscured from view that is used to interpret the serial signal?
