How does my controller remember my personalised PX4 settings?

I am trying to set up the development environment. I tried to build the firmware and it looks like it worked. However, I am reluctant to try to “upload” this build to my Pixhawk 4 because I am worried it will wipe off all my settings/customisation.

Which then makes me ask the question, where is this configuration file stored? It cannot be on the QGC side as my controller remembered all my preferences/setup when I connected it to my new Linux machine instead of the old windows set up.

The parameters are usually stored on an EEPROM chip.

If you want to make sure you don’t loose your parameters, you should connect using QGroundControl and there in the parameter view save all params to file.

Thanks, Julian.

I don’t know why but I couldn’t find the option to save the params to file when I looked. I’ll look again.

Thanks

It’s pretty hidden
