I faced issues while setting up HITL VTOL running it on gazebo, I followed the HITL setup documentation from https://dev.px4.io.
I set up my QGC, using latest firmware 1.9 stable, and selected airframe to HIL standard VTOL, and also able to run it on gazebo but as a multi-rotor only.
How does multi-rotor mode convert to the fixed-wing?
Are there any changes needed to be done from QGC side?
Do we need to configure our RC differently for VTOL?
