I recently heard that when updating firmware on PIXHAWK, formely NuttX is used for ROS, but is now replaced with CHibios in the latest version of Mission Planner.
Does anybody know the reason behind this? Anyone who can update me with any historical facts would be appreciated.
@PIXHAWKTV NuttX is still used for PX4. ROS does not run on NuttX, but usually runs on a companion computer running linux(Most commonly ubuntu).
The recent move to ChibiOS is not related to PX4, but was done in the Ardupilot side. You can look at the video where it explains the motivation on moving to ChibiOS for Ardupilot.
