Does PX4 Support Drones with High-Pressure Hose Systems? How to Modify Code for Stability?

Hello everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well! I’ve been working on a project involving a drone equipped with a high-pressure hose. The idea is for the drone to maintain stability while the hose is ejecting water at high pressure.

I’m currently using PX4 for flight control and I wanted to know if anyone has experience with this kind of setup? Does PX4 automatically compensate for the additional force exerted by the water jet to maintain stability?

If not, could someone point me in the right direction on what parts of the PX4 codebase I should look into for making necessary modifications? Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
