Accel & Gyro Fail while running simulation

Beginner here: I am trying to learn how to simulate my intel Aero with px4. On my Linux 16.04 LTS computer, when I start gazebo and try to do something, I come across these errors, and then my drone crashes:
ERROR [sensors] Accel #0 fail: TOUT!
ERROR [sensors] Gyro #0 fail: TOUT!
