QGroundControl: Change landing point during flight

Imagine the following scenario:
1st: I plan a flight from point A to B on QGroundControl and send it to the drone;
2nd: The drone starts the flight and before reaching point B I need to send a command for it to land in another place chosen by me

Does the drone accept this command before reaching point B or is it impossible to change the route before it finishes the first one?
