PX4 micro-sd log abnormal

I have a tf-card with all log enabled, but it’s very strange.

It will log all required data, but sometime

  • It will have no log at all
  • It will have less log data compared to it’s flying time
  • And it will be OK again.

I don’t know why? does it mean I have a faulty sd-card? And it’s shipped with PX4 FC.

Any idea?

Hi. What do you mean by ‘all log enables’?

From experience, one of the easiest solutions to try in such cases is to replace the SD card with one that has higher performance. The SD card that comes shipped with the PX4 FC usually isn’t a high-quality one.

You can find the recommended products on the PX4 documentation page below.

If the same problem still occurs after changing the SD card, there might be other causes — such as vibrations, electronic faults on the FC, etc. In fact, SD cards and their slots are not particularly robust against vibrations and are also vulnerable to electrical shocks. It might be a good idea to check the vibration data in the flight logs first. If vibration doesn’t seem to be the issue, trying a power module replacement could help. A damaged power module can introduce electrical noise into the flight controller.

@realstone1 Thanks, I’ll try. I think it might be vibration here: Ducted Fan Drone Yaw Oscillation Issue - PX4 Log Attached - #2 by lida2003
