In Mavros, do ~local_position/pose and ~global_position/local use GPS?


I am new to this forum and have a quick question about rostopics in Mavros.

From Mavros website, the rostopic of “~global_position/local” publishes global position information fused by FCU and raw GPS data. So I understand that “~global_position/local” relies on GPS.
However, in the case of “~local_position/pose”, the website says that the local position is obtained from FCU.
Does that mean “~local_position/pose” also uses GPS? Or it does not rely on GPS at all?

Also, if someone could explain what is difference between these two rostopics, it would be appreciated.
