How to connect ESC

I am new to pixhawk and need advice on connections. I have 2 ESC’s. One basic remote control buggy ESC, and a flipsky 75200 Pro V2 VESC. I want to connect the Flipsky 75200 Pro v2 VESC to my Pixhawk 4, so I connected the CAN1 port on the pixhawk to the CANHCANL port on the VESC. I connected SBUS RC Port on the pixhawk 4 to a RC reciever in hopes that I can use the remote controller to control the VESC through the pixhawk. What are all the steps I will need to get this setup to work? What are all the parameters I need to set? My goal is to make a pixhawk autopilot guided rover.

I also want to know how to connect the generic ESC to the Pixhawk 4. Please provide me with advice on how to do so.

It’s a good idea to familiarise yourself with everything in the dev guide, its a long boring read but you will find it explains most questions you have and future questions. I’ve linked the CAN bus section below, give it a read and try some things out. Feel free to ask things if you’re still struggling after reading

Hi, I read this page but am still confused on the connections and how to get this working, as I cannot find any sources of this happening before. I have a Flipsky 75200 Pro VESC that has. CAN port and want to control it through my pixhawk 4 using a radio controller so that i can later make it autonomous. I have connected both these devices together, but get no indication that they are working together or recognize each other. Im unsure of the steps to take after I connect the two. Right now, i have the CAN1 port on the pixhawk connected to the GND/CANH/CANL/5V port on the VESC. What are the next steps I should take?

I don’t know much about your ESC’s, make sure they have DroneCAN or UAVCAN support, otherwise PX4 won’t recognize them.

Did you manage to figure it out? I’m trying to do the exact same thing with the Flipsky FSESC 75350 and the Pixhawk 6C Mini
