Better Understanding of Tilt Rotor Vtol Code

The individual switching off of Tilt Rotor Vtol individual motors in FW (VT Motor OFF ID) is achieved in V1.11 as it appears by shifting down the PWM limit of this output. The corresponding output (displayed in PWM info) in FW has a limit shifted so far down that the motor in question no longer runs.
As soon as vtol on fmu or a fc without io-unit e.g. PixRacer is used, the upper limit is maintained and the motor simply continues to run in FW under MC control.
How can we ensure that this desired limit shift also works in FMU only operation?
