T-Motor Flame 60A ESCs Beeping Repeatedly — Connection or Power Issue in VTOL PA12CF Build with PM07

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on a custom-built VTOL airframe (PA12CF-based) and facing a persistent issue with the T-Motor Flame 60A ESCs used for the vertical lift motors. The ESCs continuously beep once per second and never initialize or spin the motors. I’ve confirmed that the issue is not with software configuration — so now I’m looking into possible power or wiring issues.

:hammer_and_wrench: My VTOL configuration:

Flight Controller: Pixhawk 6C

Power Distribution Board (PDB): Holybro PM07

Battery: Tattu 6S 22000mAh Li-Ion

Horizontal Motor: AT4120 with T-Motor Flame 70A ESC

Horizontal Propeller: T-Motor FF15x8

Vertical Motors: T-Motor MN501S

Vertical ESCs: T-Motor Flame 60A 6–12S

Vertical Propellers: T-Motor P16x5.4

:magnifying_glass_tilted_left: What I’ve tried:

Full parameter setup in ArduPilot including proper Q_M_SPIN_ARM, Q_M_SPIN_MIN, PWM ranges, etc.

ESC calibration via Q_ESC_CAL

External UBEC (7.2V) powers the servo rail

Each ESC receives GND and signal from PWM outputs (M1–M4)

ESCs powered directly from PM07 PDB

Motors and ESCs tested independently and confirmed functional

Yet the Flame 60A ESCs still just beep once per second, which usually indicates no valid signal or power issue.

:red_question_mark: My main questions:

  1. Has anyone successfully used T-Motor Flame 60A ESCs with PM07 and Pixhawk 6C?
Any special considerations or known incompatibilities?

  2. Do you consider 4mm banana connectors acceptable for battery-to-PDB and PDB-to-ESC wiring in VTOL builds?
Could loose fit or high resistance interfere with ESC operation?

  3. Would adding extra capacitors (low ESR) on the PM07 output rails help stabilize voltage and prevent such issues?

Any insight or shared experience would be incredibly appreciated. I’ve been stuck on this issue for quite a while and would love to hear if anyone has encountered similar behavior from the Flame 60A series.

Thanks in advance!
