Saving tlog in QgroundControl Android? Help

Hi everyone,

I am trying to save the telemetry logs .tlog in QGroundControl application on Android and I am not able to get these files stored in the memory of my tablet. With the PC version I don’t have any problems, this only happens on Android. I have enabled in the app settings the option to save the .tlogs, but they are not stored anywhere in the tablet’s internal storage. With this option to save the .tlog logs activated in QGroundControl (Android), every time I open the application I get the following error message: application save directory is not set, but I can’t find any way to set this storage directory where to store the .tlogs.

Has anyone had the same problem or knows the solution?

Thank you very much in advance!

Check your Android version and research file safety.
Some of the latest Android versions make it difficult to install apps from file and also try to block saving of some files it doesn’t recognise.

  • If I’m not mistaken this started with Android 10 and up. Prior to that you could simply change security settings to suit.

Thank you for your reply, I have already solved the problem.

All permissions were set correctly, the problem was that for my tablet, with Android 10, PlayStore installed version 4.1.1 of QGroundControl, which is old. Downloading from the official GitHub repository the 4.2.9 version solved all the problems.

Thanks again, best regards.
