QGroundControl Not Launching on MacBook Pro M4 (Apple Silicon)

Hello everyone,

I wanted to report that QGroundControl (latest version) does not launch at all on the new MacBook Pro M4 (Apple Silicon) chipset.

System details:

  • Device: MacBook Pro 14-inch, M4 chip
  • macOS version: 15.3.1 (24D70)
  • QGroundControl version: v4.4.4

The application either crashes immediately on startup or does not respond. I have tried:

  • Granting all permissions from System Settings
  • Running from Terminal with open -a QGroundControl
  • Deleting and reinstalling the app
  • Testing both .dmg and .zip releases

None of these steps worked.

Would be great if the dev team could confirm compatibility or provide a workaround for now. Iā€™m happy to help with logs or testing.
