Mapping functions to RC Channels

Hello,

I am trying setup PX4 for first time and have done most of the initial settings but there are few points I cannot figure out.

  • How to map RC channels to functions, I have configured channel 5 as flight mode switch. I want to set channel 6 to Land and Channel 7 to Mission.

  • Similarly I have LED connected to Main 8 port on the cube and want to control the ON/Off via a switch(channel 8 for example). Any suggestions?

  • On Mission planner there is EKF tab to view any mag interference, Is there anything similar in QGC?

Thanks

In PX4 you map all flight modes to the one channel. The selection is done in QGC as here: Flight Mode Configuration | PX4 User Guide (main)

Below you can see the screen with mission mode selected (actually on two settings). You could do the same for land.

That is how this is done in main and v1.13. In older versions you could map a channel to a particular mode - but the QGC configuration was hard for users to understand and added little value, so that was removed.

It depends on the version you are using of PX4. On main you can follow the instructions here to map an RC channel to an actuator channel, and you could assign that actuator channel to main 8 pin.

On release builds you can do the same thing but it is harder. YOu would follow the instructions here using the headings about “mixer allocation” (rather than control allocations): Payloads and Cameras | PX4 User Guide (v1.13)

I don’t think so. For this my understanding is that you would need to log.
