Long Ethernet Connection to Pixhawk

Hi guys, I am using a holybro mini baseboard with a pixhawk 6X flight controller.

I’m building a tethered setup and communicating over ethernet with the drone to control it rather then radio. I have successfully been able to get this working on bench with a short ethernet cable connected directly from my computer.

From what I have read on the docs, the ethernet interface is transformer-less (AN2190) designed for short runs to the companion computer. These runs should be ideally kept under 30cm, and unfortunately my tether will be about 10m. I have been reading and because of EMI and noise I should really be isolating this signal line with proper ethernet magnetics.

So has anyone done this before, and if so what hardware did you use? I am currently looking at purchasing a 2-3 port switch and mounting it on the drone, but would rather go for a smaller interface. I really do not want to have to develop some custom hardware for this :frowning: .

From what I have found, this may be the solution? SwitchBlox for Ardupilot Since it has integrated magnetics I can just terminate a patch cable with jst gh connector and plug in? Although I only require a single interface for my tether.

If anyone has had any experience with this before, lmk!
