I’m implementing a power-button on a drone and wondering if there is any need for graceful shutdown on the PX4? I can just cut the power, just like we do when we remove the battery, but maybe there’s a way to inform PX4 to flush buffers, write to SD, etc?..

I don’t know there is a way to even do that. As you have pointed out, normally you just pull the plug.
This is a good question, though. If the docs describe how the px4 OS deals with these hard “reboots”, I have missed it …
