I have been trying to find more information about the upcoming DroneId mandate. It seems like if we are using mavlink we are already sending position information. Our home position essentially tells where the controller is. I have not seen anything in the writeups that would include our FAA registered drone ID.
My drone is a 3DR Solo using Open Solo / Aurdupilot. Why do we need to add hardware to our drones to do what it already can do.
