from @rroche

Community: We are preparing for the PX4 v1.15 release, we are targeting June 12th. This is the last call for the release! How to add changes or raise issues to the v1.15 release?

  1. Create an Issue or PR in the PX4 repository
  2. Make sure to label it accordingly (important)
  3. Add it to the “PX4 v1.15 Release” project board

Requirements

  • Whoever is adding something to the project board becomes responsible for carrying it trough the finish line
  • Only tested features make it to the project board
  • Issues need to be verified by a maintainer before they can become a release blocker

Questions?

  • Feel free to discuss on our Discrod dev-team channel

Q&A

@Jaeyoung-Lim Clarity to be stated about DroneCode Foundation side about DoD applications such that there is no intention to be involved in that:

  • @rroche The state is always clear that Dronecode is not planning to involve in such activities.
  • @dagar Even features looking like they might be ambiguous are not let in to the base code and PX4 is assumed to be the infrastructure.

@PeterVdPerk: Is there going to be an update on nuttx kernel with the new release of 1.15?

@Rowan_Dempster Are there any wind estimate models integrated in PX4?

  • @bresch : There are currently ways to estimate that from drag coefficients and other variables but not an exact model is available. Although, the accuracy of the model is a matter of debate especially for quadcopters.
