MISSION_ITEM routed to different message type error?

Could someone please tell me what the two MISSION_ITEM errors below mean? I am trying to create a /mavros/mission/geofences mavros plugin to read geofence data from an mRo Pixhawk, similar to the plugin /mavros/mission/waypoints. The geofence.cpp file for the plugin mimics the waypoint.cpp file but specifies the misstion_type as 1 for geofences. Why am I not able to use the MISSION_ITEM Mavlink message in both waypoint.cpp and geofence.cpp files? I am using PX4 firmware.
