Hi if i install a lidar sensor on the bottom of my drone will it help to stabilize the copter or it’s just the optical flow sensor that can do this ? Thank you
It could help with altitude hold, but not for XY positioning (as the range finder just measures the range). You need an optical flow sensor in addition to a range finder to fly in position mode.

thank you .And can the optical flow sensor be used with a Gps ? Because there is only one I2c port on the pixhawk .And if i use a converter the setup for both the gps and optical flow sensor is the same as if i had just one i2c port ?
