I have successfully done the setup for HITL with Pixhawk and px4 firmware.
Aim is to connect external sensor to Pixhawk and write a driver for same and to test it in HIL mode.
Is it possible to connect external sensor like thermal sensor (DHT11 etc.) to Pixhawk in HIL mode as mentioned in https://pixhawk.org/users/hil “Hardware in the loop simulation (HIL or HITL) means to feed simulated sensor data to the autopilot and to return its control outputs into the simulation.”
So is there any way to test external sensors(connected to Pixhawk hardware) in HIL mode?
