First time using px4, couple bugs I don’t know how to fix

First bug: even though I connected SRLX2 (a pwm) to rc in and rx gets power and I get an option called “spektrum bind” and my radio connects to and controls the rx, when I try to calibrate/map inputs, I get a message saying “please turn on transmitter”. Second bug: my 4 spektrum avian 100 amp escs won’t arm (esc one connected to motor 1 on main channel 1 at 400hz, esc 2 to motor 2 on main channel 2 etc) so even on slider test, they don’t work. Instead when plugged in, they beep at the same rate they do when there is no controller. Also I can’t even control a servo on manual. Please help me trouble-shoot my problems. (Forgot to mention this is a quadcopter) (all firmware is up to date)
