ESC Calibration on qgroundcontrol

When calibrating ESCs you connect the pixhawk via usb into the computer. It then prompts you to connect the battery. Do you do so whilst still keeping the usb connection in so you have 2 power sources running on the pixhawk at the same time?

Just wondering if that would cause any damage to the pixhawk 4 or not?

That’s fine and actually required because the Pixhawk needs to be powered already before you connect the ESCs.
Just make sure to remove props to be safe ;).
