Ardupilot Qgroundcontrol publish custom value variables

I am trying some weeks now to find a proper guide for customizing qgroundcontrol. I have managed to do minor changes like change battery from percentage to values at toolbar of battery indicator but still I miss my main challenge.

First of all at the moment i have to use ardupilot to fly drone but GCS should be android qgroundcontrol. I connect a custom sensor on drone and through LUA scripting of APM i create a variable which i send through command GCS.send_float(“variable”, value).

In mission planner there are instructions to show the value but i am struggling with QGC. Is there any guide or someone who has tried this before?
