I just tried downloading qGroundControl for windows and my bitdefender antivirus blocked it and reported that it was an infected website:

Is this just bitdefender being difficult or is there something up with the download?
Usually Anti Virus software doesn’t allow you to download any executable files from the Internet because of security risk If you trust the source of the executable, you can go ahead and download the executable and install the application. Otherwise you can download the qgroundcontrol latest source code from here and build the executable yourself.
Yes, thanks, thats rather obvious now you point it out. I can’t help thinking it would be better to offer it as a zipped archive for download as this would get around the issue.
