Unable to set FW_MAN_P_MAX

I working on a quadcopter/plane that needs to get beyond 45 degrees in manual or stabilized mode (preferably 80 degrees). When I go to the parameter list in qgroundcontrol there is no FW_MAN_P_MAX as listed here https://dev.px4.io/en/advanced/parameter_reference.html#parameter-reference. Same if I use mavproxy, the parameter doesn’t seem to exist. I have the airframe set to:
Airframe type: Quadrotor x
Vehicle: Generic Quadrotor X config
Firmware Version: 1.6.0

Also, if someone could help me map the qgroundcontrol flight modes to https://dev.px4.io/en/concept/flight_modes.html that would help too. e.g. in qgroundcontrol, if I’m in Manual flightmode which px4 mode am I in? It feels like angle, but I’m not 100% sure. And then what is “Stabilized” in qgroundcontrol?
