PX4 and NMEA 0183 integration

Hello,

I am trying to add a sonar system that outputs NMEA 0183 (like a gps) to the pixhawk. Is this possible? Are there any work arounds for the pixhawk to be able to read serial data of this type?

I am using a pixhawk and DT800 sonar.
