FRAM replacement / Custom board

If I developed my own board are there any specific configurations which require updating for a different FRAM device? The current FM25V01-G is obsolete. There is a ‘-A’ replacement or I could go with a ‘V02’. The ‘V02’ has 256KB of space opposed to the 128KB of space. Do configurations require updating for that change?

How does the dataman module know when its out of room? A failed write? Or are all of the Max values used to prevent exceeding the space available?

Apologies if all/some of this post belongs in a different area on the forum. I figured this was the best place to start.

You can safely use ‘-A’ replacement model.
