Starting RTK Survey-In Prior to Vehicle Connection

I am attempting to use QGroundControl with a Here+ RTK GPS kit and would like to begin to survey-in for the base station position prior to connecting to my vehicle. When higher accuracy is required, it can take quite a bit of time to survey-in the base station position at the desired accuracy for a mission. In the case where quick takeoffs are required, it would be nice if I was able to begin the survey-in process before my vehicle is ready to be connected.

Is there a method for beginning the survey-in process of the base-station prior to vehicle connection? In this mode I would expect that the base station would be in idle until it is able to connect with the vehicle or it would continue to survey-in to increase the accuracy of it’s determined position.

Just to answer here as well. Survey in starts as soon as you connect the RTK GPS.
