# Read the STRGx.bak for diagnosis

Hi,

How to read the STRGx.bak and last\_storage\_bak files in the /APM/STRG\_BAK for the diagnosis? I opened it and only found some binary stuffs.  
Is there a tool for reading the content of the bak file in plain text format?

You’ll need to ask at [discuss.ardupilot.org](http://discuss.ardupilot.org) as that is ArduPilot specific, not PX4.
