PX4 shuts down on liftoff

I’m new but have exhausted my patience on this. I built a Holybro X500 V2, configured it and connected it to a TX16S and can arm and control the motors with no issues. After boot-up with the props off, I can run the motors at full speed for minutes at a time. If I install the props, it starts, then after about 3-5 seconds and before lift-off the PX4 shuts down completely like there is no power. I’m using a power distribution board and connections appear to be ok.

As it loses power, I get an audible “telemetry lost” from the controller. While connected to QGC, I get the error Vehicle did not respond to command: MAV_CMD-NAV_TAKEOFF. I have the .ulg files (see dumps below).

Question: Is there any other way to monitor what is going on while attempting flight? This is a very simple config with just a radio, GPS and the PX4. I’d appreciate any help in real-time debugging but if the PX4 is shutting down, that can be tough.

SOLUTION - It wasn’t a software issue. I had installed a smokestopper that was apparently faulty and shutting down the PX4. Leaving this to help others.

If I understand your question, if you want to monitor the Quad, you just need to buy the telemetry transceivers that fit on the PIX unit and a laptop running the QGC software.
