PX4 for high speed applications

Hey guys! We all know Pixhawk and PX4 as an open source platform for flight controller for UAVs, drones, multicopters, fixed wing UAVS etc… However I was wondering whether PX4 can be used with high speed aerial targets too. Whats your opinion on this? Does Pixhawk possess the capability to apply its use case scenario beyond drones and fixed wing UAVS and can be extended for applications in high speed aerial targets too.?
